Decca Picnic Gramophone with Bandalasta Picnic Set

BANDALASTA is a plastic made from a synthetic resin. It was used in the 1920/30’s to produce lightweight and colourful tea sets and picnic sets.

This set is not marked Bandalasta but has an unusual logo on the base of each item. Please contact me if you recognize the logo and whom it was made by.

The gramophone looks like a Decca 10 from around 1938. The label under the turntable confirms it is a Decca PicGram.

Details:

  • 160 x 420 x 660 cm
  • It weighs 12.2kg. Hardly portable
  • The label says: REGD No127. Model Pic Gram
  • Original Decca soundbox
  • The cool collapsible cups are by George Grose Ltd
